The naming of Library 2.0
Labelled after Web 2.0, Library 2.0 points at the current flux libraries are in. Which strikes me as more than a little odd.
Libraries: version history (to keep it simple, focussing on western europe)
Library 1.0: papyrus scrolls
Library 1.1: copyright string changed due to new Roman management.
Library 2.0: a collection of hand-copied manuscripts.
Library 3.0: a collection of printed books. Staff, previously employed
Library 4.0: now printed on cheaper paper, made from wood pulp!
Library 5.0: index now available on easily replacable cards.
Library 6.0: 4.0 turned out to be an interim release. The cards are replaced by a searchable database
Library 7.0: e-journals, e-books, e-prints, ...
Library 8.0: *cough* Library 2.0
So clearly, library 2.0 is a bit of a misnomer. There are some alternatives.
Library 2006? Library XP? Feline, Vista?
No. Library Creative Suite 1.0 will do just fine.
